Construction of the bridge that collapsed on Nemiga continues

Now the construction is at the stage of drilling wells for piles, the Minsk-News agency writes after an interview with the chair of the Minsk City Executive Committee.

For the foundation and support of the beams, 24 piles need to be installed. For them, wells with a diameter of 1.2 m and a depth of 15-17 m are drilled using four installations. Beams have already begun to arrive at the facility. There will be 44 of them in total.

The work takes place daily; there are no delays from the schedule.

The new bridge will be less massive than the old one. Architectural lighting is also planned for it.

The old bridge collapsed on January 8. They promise to restore it in a month.
