Consultations between the ministries of foreign affairs of Belarus and Bangladesh

On December 12, the fourth round of consultations between the ministries of foreign Affairs of Belarus and Bangladesh was held in Dhaka. 

The Belarusian delegation was headed by Deputy foreign Minister Andrei Dapkyunas. The head of the Bangladeshi delegation was Deputy foreign Minister Kamrul Ahsan. On the Bangladeshi side, in addition to foreign Ministry diplomats, the consultations were attended by representatives of the ministries of industry, agriculture, ministry of mail, information and telecommunication technologies, ministry of local self-government, rural development and cooperatives, administration of special economic zones.

A wide range of issues was discussed. The interlocutors reviewed the state of bilateral relations and cooperation within the framework of international organizations. Special attention was paid to the elaboration of interstate contacts at the highest and highest levels. They also discussed the prospects of cooperation in agriculture, including the exchange of experience in the field of crop breeding, information and telecommunications industries, in the field of higher education.

The Bangladeshi side drew attention to the importance of stable supplies of Belarusian potash fertilizers to this country and studying the possibility of potential increase in their volumes.

The interlocutors agreed on the expediency of starting the practical work of the joint Commission on cooperation in the field of agriculture and the early convening of the Commission on scientific and technical cooperation, belta.by reports.
