Cooperation of CIS countries in education will be discussed in Minsk

The meeting of the working group of the Council for cooperation in the field of education of the CIS member States will be held on March 2 in the CIS Executive Committee in Minsk, reports belta.by.

Participants will discuss finalizing the draft agreement on cooperation in the field of accreditation of educational activities of organizations and educational institutions of the Commonwealth countries.

To independently assess the quality of education and public accreditation, as well as prepare a draft agreement, a Commission was established in the field of ensuring the quality of education in the CIS States, the leadership of which is assigned to Rosaccredagency. The draft agreement was prepared by the Commission and submitted to the CIS Executive Committee in January 2020. Members of the Commission from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia and Tajikistan participated in the development of the document.

The purpose of state accreditation of educational activities is to confirm its compliance with the standards established by national legislation for training specialists in organizations and educational institutions of the Commonwealth States. It is envisaged to create a joint accreditation body that will make an agreed decision on state accreditation of educational activities of organizations and educational institutions of the CIS countries or on refusal of it based on the results of monitoring and analysis of the submitted educational programs for each level of education in each specialty.
