COVID-19 statistics at the beginning of 2021

Over the past 24 hours, 1,855 new cases of coronavirus infection were registered in Belarus, tut.by reports. 1,820 patients were discharged and 9 died.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 204,958 cases of coronavirus infection have been registered throughout Belarus based on the results of the tests passed. A total of 4,068,847 tests were carried out. Also, over the entire period, 186 394 patients recovered and were discharged from hospitals, and 1480 patients with diagnosed coronavirus infection died.

Over the past day, 17,925 tests have been performed to detect COVID-19.

Belarus has announced the start of vaccination with the Russian Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine. The first to be vaccinated will be medical workers, teachers and persons who, due to their work, are in contact with a large number of people. Vaccinations will be voluntary.
