CT and final exams in schools can be combined in Belarus

Centralized testing and final exams in schools can be combined in Belarus. Such changes were discussed on August 11 in Minsk at the meeting on education with the participation of Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenkominsknews.by reports.

Combining final exams in mathematics, russian or belarusian languages and centralized testing will reduce the burden on eleventh-graders, increase the objectivity of assessing students’ knowledge and will allow better control the results of graduates' studies.

Testing will remain the main form of university entrance examinations, while an internal profile exam for certain specialties (pedagogical, creative and other) is not excluded.

If the proposals are approved, the changes will take effect before September 1, 2022.
