Cybercrime decreased by 1.5 times in the Gomel region

In 2021, the number of cybercrimes in the region has significantly decreased, BELTA writes. During the year only 2,145 crimes were recorded. In 2020, this figure amounted to 3,394 crimes.

In the Department of Internal Affairs of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee reported that such results were achieved thanks to an increase in the level of computer literacy and digital security of citizens.

In 2022, law enforcement agencies will focus on the prevention of crimes and offenses, as well as on working with the population.
