Cyprus, Greece, Portugal and Hungary will not stop issuing visas to Belarusians

The Telegram channel "Sobiray Rukzak" reported that several countries from the Schengen zone decided to stop issuing tourist visas to citizens of Belarus and Russia. At the moment, the list of countries that supported the idea of a ban includes Estonia, Finland, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Denmark, Latvia, Lithuania, Belgium and Sweden.

At the same time, Slovakia, Denmark and Belgium continue to issue visas to Belarusians for tourism purposes. Other countries have already stopped accepting documents.

Germany, the Netherlands and France do not support the ban. This week it became known that Cyprus, Greece, Portugal and Hungary also spoke out against the visa ban.

The possibility of changing the Schengen Visa Code to reduce the issuance of visas and the agreed reduction in the issuance of visas at the level of competence of individual states will be discussed on August 31 at an informal meeting of EU Foreign Ministers to be held in Prague.
