Czech Republic extends ban on issuing visas to Belarusians
The ban on issuing any Czech visas to Belarusian citizens is extended up to March 31, 2024, Sputnik reported. In addition, Czech visas will no longer be issued to Belarusians with two citizenships.
Belarusians also cannot obtain a residence permit in the Czech Republic, except for humanitarian reasons.
In addition, yesterday Lithuania passed a bill banning the issuance of residence permits by Belarusians. If the law is adopted, only Belarusians with a Schengen visa or a national Lithuanian visa will be able to obtain a Lithuanian residence permit.
In addition, the acceptance of applications for national visas through an external service provider abroad is suspended. It is assumed that the law will be temporary.
