Deer and elk hunting season opens in Belarus in January

Since January 1, 2022, deer hunting has been officially allowed in Belarus, belta.by reports.

Shooting is allowed in adult males, breeding individuals of any age and gender. Elk hunting also opens.

It is allowed to hunt elk during daylight hours, and deer - at any time of the day or night. Methods of hunting are also defined. It can be a rifle method from an ambush and from an approach. For extraction, you can use a rifled hunting weapon with a muzzle energy of a bullet over 3 thousand joules, smoothbore hunting weapons using cartridges equipped with a bullet. Hunting bows and crossbows can also be used.

The deer and elk hunting season will last in Belarus for only a month (until January 31).
