Defenseman Rinat Valiev became a player of the Minsk Dinamo

Minsk Hockey Club "Dinamo" signed 26-year-old defender Rinat Valiev from "Ak Bars", minsknews.by reports.

In the current season, Valiev played one match in the KHL, as well as 23 games in the Supreme Hockey League with "Ak Bars". The player has several seasons overseas. In the NHL, he played for "Toronto" and "Montreal".

In return, the Kazan club "Ak Bars" received the rights to the Finnish defender Julius Honka.

At the moment, Dinamo has recorded 48 points (after 43 games, 8th place in the Western Conference of the KHL).

Minsk residents will play their next match on Wednesday at home against "Metallurg Magnitogorsk".
