Differentiated gas tariffs will be abolished in Belarus from June 2022

From June 1, 2022, a single tariff for gas supply will be introduced without separation into summer and heating periods, the Minsk-News agency writes.

Differentiated tariffs were set for consumers who use gas heating equipment and devices for individual metering of gas consumption. It allowed to pay less in the cold season, when gas consumption increases. The rate for 1 cubic meter was BYN 0,1494. And in the warm season it was higher — BYN 0,5417. Now the tariff will be the same for the entire period of the year — BYN 0,1977.

It will save money at the end of the year. And it will also allow to use gas more freely in the summer, since now its cost will no longer be overstated.
