Driver condition monitoring system will be tested in Minsk's buses
In January, they are planning to start testing the driver condition monitoring system in Minsk's buses, Minsk-News reported. Let us remind you that a station for fast charging electric cars and electric buses has opened in Minsk.
The devices will be tested in 20 buses of urban transport, as well as on international routes.
The system allows to assess a driver's condition in real time (fatigue, distraction from driving a vehicle). The driver receives a signal if his behavior deviates from the norm. A dispatcher also receives the notification.
The signal is triggered if the driver lowers his head or looks at one point for a long time, closes his eyes, blinks often, rubs his eyelids, constantly touches his face, looks away.
The intelligent monitoring system gives a signal if the driver forgets to fasten his seat belt, deviates from the route, smokes or uses a smartphone while driving.
