EAEU simplified the registration of medicines

The Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission has amended the rules for registration and examination of medicines for medical use, the EEC website writes.

Now the possibilities of electronic document management and remote procedures for assessing the quality of medicines have become wider. Three procedures for simplified and accelerated access of highly effective medicines to the EAEU market have also been introduced.

This will meet the increased needs of the healthcare systems of the EAEU member states. It will also reduce the losses of manufacturers associated with the disruption of logistics and with the development and introduction of drugs to the market.

These changes will also simplify patients' access to medicines in case of threats of emergency situations, as well as to groups of high-tech, breakthrough therapies.
