Eco movement in A1: More than 11 thousand mobile devices are assembled for environmentally friendly recycling

In the autumn of 2023, A1 launched the Eco Movement initiative, offering everyone to donate their old mobile devices for safe recycling in exchange for participating in the drawing of five new Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max smartphones, BelTA informs.

From November 30 to January 3, about four thousand people took part in the environmental event, handing over more than 11 thousand unnecessary devices to A1 stores throughout Belarus. Participants could bring their old mobile phones, smartphones, tablets, smart watches or e-books to any A1 store and exchange them for game codes. 

The largest number of devices were assembled in Minsk, Grodno and Gomel.

A1 will transfer all collected devices to environmentally safe disposal. Serviceable and actively used gadgets do not pose a danger to humans and nature, but if they get into a landfill, they can become a source of toxic substances, polluting water and soil.

It is important to note that despite the completion of the promotion, all A1 stores across the country have a permanent system for collecting equipment for its subsequent safe disposal.
