Electoral Code in Belarus will be changed
The draft law on the amendment of the Electoral Code of Belarus has been submitted for public discussion, Minsk-News reported. The discussion will last until November 2.
Several main changes are proposed in the draft law. The age limit for presidential candidates has been increased to 40 years. Also, one can be elected to the post of president for no more than 2 terms. Those in custody will be able to take part in the voting.
In addition, it was proposed to abandon the formation of polling stations abroad. The turnout threshold for the elections of deputies of the House of Representatives has also been canceled.
