EPAM wanted to buy Exadel. The deal fell through

Rumors that EPAM intends to buy Exadel, an American company with Belarusian roots, have been circulating in the IT-community since November. However, on December 31, Exadel employees received a letter from the company's CEO Fim Katz that the deal with EPAM will not take place, reports dev.by.

The information was confirmed by the company's Vice President Grigory Katsman:
— I can quote lines from the letter, since it's no secret. It says that Exadel declined the EPAM offer because "we heard the message of our employees." Many of them wanted to grow with their company — and are willing to take on more responsibility in order for Exadel to grow as well.
