EU ambassadors are gradually leaving Belarus

The ambassadors of the countries of the European Union leave the territory of Belarus one after another, tut.by reports. At the moment, the ambassadors of Lithuania and Poland have already been recalled.

On the 2^nd of October, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus appealed to the governments of Lithuania and Poland with a demand to reduce the number of employees in diplomatic missions, as well as withdraw their ambassadors from Belarus for consultations. Despite the fact that at first Lithuania and Poland refused to recall the ambassadors, after a while the governments changed their decisions.

Yesterday, on the 5^th of October, the ambassadors of Lithuania and Poland left the territory of Belarus and returned to their countries. The rest of the employees of the diplomatic missions of Lithuania and Poland have remained in Belarus for now.

At the moment, the question of the work of the embassies of Lithuania and Poland remains open. Countries are discussing possible next steps and ways to resolve the situation.
