Exemptions for tourism business

Within a month, the government of Belarus will introduce the exemptions for tourism sector, reports Onliner. In connection with the spread of the pandemic, the tourism industry suffers large losses. Therefore, it especially needs support in this difficult period for everyone.

The tourism industry has been taken a great hit because of the coronavirus. Due to the fact that all borders are closed, people prefer self-isolation, travel agencies haven´t got any work during last months. In addition, a large number of people have returned tickets back.

The Minister of Sports and Tourism Sergey Kovalchuk said that within a month the government will develop the exemptions for the tourism industry, mainly in support of agencies that work in local market.

The exemptions will be based on the experience of foreign countries that also provide assistance to the tourism business. Now the government is discussing the possibility of introducing tax, credit and rental exemptions.
