Exhibition of old textbooks opened in BSU

The website of the Belarusian State University reports that an exhibition of ancient textbooks has opened.

The exhibition includes about 40 books from the fund of rare and valuable publications. Among the exhibits are domestic and foreign textbooks printed in the period from the middle of the XIX century to 1950. These are "Lectures of Organic Chemistry" published in 1880, "Course of elementary general Chemistry" (1863), "Collection of problems of Higher Mathematics" (1911), "Course of elementary Geometry" (1923), as well as "Fundamentals of comparative anatomy of invertebrates" issued in 1944, etc.

In total, there are more than 2 thousand publications in the university's collection of educational literature. The oldest textbook is more than three hundred years old. This is the "Arithmetic of Magnitsky" published in 1703.

The exhibition is free.

Opening hours: Mon-Fri from 9am to 5pm. The exhibition will last until June 30.
