Express-tests for Covid-19 can now be bought in pharmacies

Now everyone who wants to test themselves for coronavirus can buy an express-test at a pharmacy, tut.by reports. The pharmacies sell "Multi Test 010" of Belarusian production.

The cost of the test varies from 28.75 to 33.54 rubles. You can buy it without a doctor's prescription, but tests are not yet sold in every pharmacy. In addition, the first batch of tests was sold out in just a couple of hours.

The test was registered on July 13, but first of all it was delivered to clinics and hospitals.

Express-tests do not give a 100% guarantee that the result is correct. The Covid-19 test is rather an auxiliary tool in diagnosing the infection.

The test includes a test strip, a napkin, a lancet, a buffer solution, a pipette and a step-by-step instruction on how to interpret the result: IgG means that there are antibodies in the body, and IgM means a person is sick with coronavirus at the moment.

How the test strip works: wipe your finger, make a puncture on it, add a drop of blood and four drops of buffer solution to the well on the test cassette. The result must be evaluated in 15 minutes.
