Faley Advances to Second Round in Porto

Belarusian tennis player Aliaksandra Faley advanced to the second round of the ITF tournament in Portugal after defeating Italy’s Camilla Rosatello 6–1, 6–2, BelTA reports.

She will next face Spain’s Eva Alvarez for a place in the quarterfinals.

Yuliya Hatouka also began her campaign in Sharm El-Sheikh with a confident win over Germany’s Johanna Silva.

At the WTA 125 event in Antalya, Iryna Shymanovich and Russia’s Maria Kozyreva progressed to the second round in doubles.

In the men’s tournament in Pune, Ilya Ivashka retired in the second round due to injury during his match against India’s Manas Dhamne.
