Farfetch bought Belarusian Wannaby startup

Farfetch marketplace acquired Belarusian startup Wannaby Inc for $29.4 million. The deal was closed on April 5, 2022, devby.io writes. Read also about the Belarusian converter for currencies and prices.

The startup Wannaby was founded in 2017. The company is engaged in the development of AR-commerce — "shopping in augmented reality". The main products are applications for virtual fitting of cosmetics (Wanna Nails) and sneakers (Wanna Kicks). 

There are about 80 people in the Wanna team today, after the deal they became employees of Farfetch. The company is a resident of the Hi-Tech Park.
