February will be abnormally warm in Belarus

The outgoing winter turned out to be quite mild, but gloomy and extremely unstable, with an abundance of precipitation, the Minsk-News agency writes with reference to the ONT TV channel.

The average air temperature in December for the first time in 9 years was below the climatic norm by 0.2°C. At the same time, the maximum air temperature during the month was 9.5°C. The minimum temperature decreased to 23.5 °C below zero.

In January, the average air temperature was 2°C above the climatic norm. The highest temperature reached 9.9°C. The lowest temperature recorded overnight dropped to 23.8°C below zero.

According to forecasters, February will also increase the temperature anomaly, which will persist in the coming days. Therefore, the last month of winter is expected to be warmer than usual.
