Fireworks are temporarily banned in Belarus

From the 12th of August, the sale of pyrotechnics (both retail and wholesale) has been temporarily banned in Belarus, relax.by reports. Fireworks are also banned.

On the 11th of August, the National legal portal published the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated August 11, 2020 No. 475 "On the turnover of pyrotechnic products." The Resolution stated that from August 12, 2020, a ban on the sale of pyrotechnic products was introduced in Belarus. The ban will remain in force for an indefinite period until an appropriate decision of the Council of Ministers is taken, cancelling the Resolution.

This ban was caused by protests and riots in the streets in all cities of Belarus. Protesters use fireworks for protection. Thus, the authorities are trying to limit the use of explosive substances and equipment during the protests.
