Foreign Ministers of Belarus and Pakistan to discuss cooperation

Belarusian Foreign Minister Sergei Aleynik will pay a visit to Pakistan next week, Sputnik reported. The countries are interested in expanding cooperation in the political, economic, defense and scientific and technical fields.

The official visit of the Belarusian minister to Pakistan is scheduled for May 30 and 31. He will arrive in the capital Islamabad.

The ministers of the two countries plan to discuss not only the state of relations, but also the possibilities of expanding cooperation in the political, economic, defense, scientific and technical fields.

Diplomatic relations between Belarus and Pakistan were established on February 3, 1994. Belarus exports tractors and spare parts to Pakistan, trucks, potash fertilizers, tires, machine tools, baby food.

Pakistan supplies rice, vegetables, fruits and other food products, leather goods and materials, fabrics, textiles, sports equipment and other goods to the Belarusian market.

The Zimbabwean authorities are also interested in the supply of Belarusian food products, as well as in the organization of joint productions.
