Forest area will be expanded in Belarus

By 2050, the forest area in Belarus will be increased to 42% of the entire territory of the country due to the adaptation to climate changes, Minsk-News writes. We remind you that there is a map of forests closed for visiting.

The Ministry of Forestry plans to plant agricultural land with forests and control deforestation.

Increasing the forest cover of the territory will help mitigate the effects of climate change, since forests act as the main regulators of the temperature regime of the planet.
