Forest reproduction information system will be created in Belarus

An information system for forest reproduction will be created in Belarus, and in the future, the GeoPortal Forests of Belarus, BELTA writes. The program will make it possible to monitor virtually all stages of forest cultivation: from accounting for forest-cultivated areas to their transporting.

Now a software product concept is being developed, which Belgosles is engaged in. The draft terms of reference will be ready by the end of February.

In the future, the unified GeoPortal will include a full cycle of forestry activities, starting from the collection of forest seed raw materials, the implementation of forest reproduction, the availability of up-to-date forest management data, forestry work, ending with harvesting, accounting for wood and transporting it to the final consumer.
