Fransabank merged with Belarusian Alfa-Bank

Fransabank has officially stopped activities in Belarus, CityDog.io writes  with reference to the press service of the National Bank. Now Alfa-Bank is the legal successor of all the rights and obligations of Fransabank.

At the end of 2021, Alfa-Bank acquired 99.98% of the Fransabank shares for BYN27 million. It was assumed that the integration of all systems would be completed during 2022.

According to the results of 2021, Alfa-Bank was on the 7th position in terms of assets in the Belarusian market. Fransabank took the 20th place by assets, being a subsidiary of the largest Lebanese bank Fransabank S.A.L. since 2008.
