From May 9, movement of trucks on Polish-Belarusian border will be blocked
From May 9, Polish carriers to start blocking the movement of trucks at the Kukuryki - Kozlovichi border crossing in order to stop freight traffic towards Belarus. The protest action may drag on for a whole month, Sputnik reported.
The protest action on the Polish-Belarusian border is organized by Polish transport companies, which have started a similar blocking of the checkpoint on the Polish-Ukrainian border since May. With the help of such measures, they demand from the Polish government to create more favorable and preferential conditions for local carriers.
The Kukuryki - Kozlovichi checkpoint is the only checkpoint on the Polish-Belarusian border through which trucks are currently passing. They expect about a hundred trucks to take part in the protest. The permission to protest from the Polish authorities is valid until June 9.
