Getmanova took silver in the wrestling championship

Belarusian Marta Getmanova won silver at the European Junior Wrestling Championship, BelTA writes.

The event takes place in Novi Sad, Serbia. In the weight category up to 55 kg, Getmanova defeated Nikola Vishnevskaya from Poland (11:2), Nargiz Samadova from Azerbaijan (10:0) and Ekaterina Chicanova from Russia (2:1).

In the final, she lost to Turkish Tuba Demir (6:15). Getmanova is the cousin of Alesya Getmanova, the winner of the European U23 Championship. Belarusians Olga Gordey (up to 57 kg) and Victoria Radkova (up to 72 kg) are also participating in the tournament, who will compete for gold.
