Google was fined 1.5 million BYN for violating the antimonopoly law of Belarus

During the investigation in MART, it turned out that Google LLC offers the Google Play app store to manufacturers of smartphones and tablets running OS Android for pre-installation on their devices only if a number of conditions are met.
Among them is the installation of services and applications of the corporation, the Minsk-News agency writes.

Thus, Google restricts access to mobile devices to other developers. Because of this, the number of mobile developments under the Android OS may decrease. This will hinder the competition in the application market.

The company was brought to administrative responsibility with a fine of 1,438,941 BYN (approximately $563,000).
