Government will not interfere in pricing of building materials

We recently wrote that the Government has identified construction goods for which prices will be regulated. On the air of the MIR TV channel the Minister of Architecture said that the Government will not interfere in the cost and pricing of building materials, Minsk-News reports.

Prices will be regulated for 80% of the materials needed for construction. However, the government will not interfere with the cost and pricing of such goods. They only plan to limit the profitability of the products sold in order to prevent speculation on prices.

Such measures will affect both manufacturers of building materials and companies that sell them. Allowances and certain restrictions will be introduced for both private and state-owned enterprises.
