Grain harvest in Belarus is higher than last year
The grain harvest this year is generally higher than last year, BelTA reported. At the moment, 1.5 million tons more grain has been harvested than last year. Grain yields have increased compared to last year.
The pace of harvesting of vegetables and other crops is also higher this year. Vegetables are harvested on almost 43% of the area. Last year, 42% were removed for this period of time.
The sowing rates of winter cereals are generally higher than last year. However, in the Vitebsk, Gomel and Mogilev regions there are small delays from the schedule.
