From December 1, 2021 to January 31, 2022, a special dye – fluorescein will be added into the hot water supply system of seven districts of Minskbelta.by reports.

The use of the dye makes it possible to quickly detect leaks of the coolant, it’s inappropriate use, as well as leaks of water heaters.

The use of fluorescein is allowed by the sanitary and epidemiological surveillance authorities and does not pose a danger to the human body, the Ministry of Energy points out.

The dye will be added to tap water in a closed system of boilers "Kedyshko", "Shabany" and Minsk CHP-2, providing heat to consumers of Leninsky, Zavodsky, Moskovsky, Partizansky, Oktyabrsky, Sovetsky and Pervomaisky districts of Minsk.

Specialists are asked to inform the Minsk Thermal Networks branch about the appearance of colored water in the hot water supply systems of residential buildings, industrial, administrative buildings and coolant leaks.
