History in exhibits: school museums of Belarus
School museums in Belarus are interesting cultural objects created in the middle of the last century, Belarus Today writes.
Using the example of several such museums, one can see the richness of the country's historical heritage. One of them is the Museum of local lore of the Vetrin secondary School in the Polotsk district, founded in 1957. Over the past five years, this museum has collected almost 4,000 exhibits and attracted more than 7,000 visitors. Children start their research work in the 2nd grade.
Another example is the National Museum of Military Glory of the Lunna Secondary School in the Grodno region, which was opened in memory of the Hero of the Soviet Union, Ivan Sheremet. This museum offers a virtual tour and a 3D panorama on its website.
The creation of school museums began in the middle of the last century, and since then, they have become an important part of educational work. They help children learn, as well as promote the development of research skills and patriotism.
