How is the belarusian vaccine against COVID-19 created?

On the ONT TV channel, experts of the RNPC of Epidemiology and Microbiology told how things are going with the production of the Belarusian coronavirus vaccine, CityDog.io writes. We remind you that the situation with the incidence of COVID-19 in Belarus is stable; therefore, the country will not introduce a mask regime.

The Belarusian vaccine is based on the alpha strain of coronavirus. However, the peculiarity of the development is that scientists can very quickly change the variant of the strain virus. This will make vaccine production easier.

The vaccine will be created at the Belvetunifarm enterprise with the help of the Belmedpreparaty enterprise. Preclinical trials are going to start before the end of 2022. It is planned that the vaccine will pass all the necessary stages and registration in 2023.
