How is work on Belarusian COVID-19 vaccine going?

The Belarusian vaccine against COVID-19 is being developed taking into account the emerging new strains of coronavirus, the Deputy Minister of Health of Belarus said on the ONT TV channel, the Minsk-News agency writes.

First, a pilot batch of the vaccine will be created. Then the industrial batch will undergo preclinical and clinical trials. They will confirm the safety of the drug for human health and life. After that, the vaccine can be used.

The Ministry of Health is working with a company that will produce the vaccine. At the moment, the necessary equipment is being purchased in order to produce the vaccine on an industrial scale.

The Belarusian vaccine against covid will be inactivated, like the Chinese Sinopharm or the Russian KoviVak.
