How many retirees still working in Belarus

After reaching retirement age, about 20% of people continue to work in Belarus, Sputnik reported. According to forecasts, by 2030 every fifth Belarusian will reach retirement age.

According to the latest data, about 16% of the population in Belarus is over 65 years old (about 1.5 million people). Over 400 people have reached the age of 100 or more.

Now the elderly are becoming the fastest growing segment of the population in the entire European region. However, Belarus is still included in the group of countries with a low level of demographic aging.

We remind you that voluntary accumulative pension insurance was launched in Belarus.
