How Minsk residents spend money?

The Statistical Office of Minsk conducted a study of the standard of living of the city's families. The results were reported by the Minsk-News agency.

In the first quarter of 2022, the monthly expenses of one average family in Minsk amounted to BYN 2,018. Of these, only 26% were spent on deposits and savings, taxes, utility bills and other payments.

The rest of the family's finances were spent on food (39%), on the purchase of non-food products (32%), on services (25%). Minsk residents spent an average of 2.3% of all their expenses on the purchase of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products.

During the year, the share of expenditures on food, as well as on alcoholic beverages and tobacco products decreased. Minsk residents began to spend more on non-food products and services.

We remind you that Belarus increased the limit on parcels from online stores: the cost is up to €1000 and the weight is up to 31 kg.
