How much recyclable materials were collected in Minsk in 2021

In total, 112 thousand tons of waste paper were collected in Minsk in 2021, the Minsk-News agency writes.

As well as 34 thousand tons of glass, 20.1 thousand tons of polymers, 9.2 thousand tons of car tires, 7.2 thousand tons of used oils. The volumes of recycling collection were not lower than the level of 2020.

The collection of secondary raw materials in Minsk is monitored by the Comfortable Housing and Favorable Environment state program. According to this program, in 2021, the city also needed to achieve a reduction in the number of claims to the quality of housing and communal services by 1.5%. In fact, a decrease of 1.54% was achieved. Tasks have also been completed to replace heating networks, water supply and sanitation networks, reduce heat energy losses, and set volumes of housing overhaul have been provided. With the plan to replace 343 elevators, 354 were actually updated.
