Important date: 30 years of diplomatic relations between Belarus and China

Diplomatic relations between Belarus and China were established on January 20, 1992, BELTA writes. Embassies are functioning in two countries.

Belarus and China actively cooperate in the fields of defense, science, technology, culture and tourism. Over 30 years, at least 25 projects have been implemented in industry and the energy sector. By the end of 2020, China became the second trading partner of Belarus after Russia.

The Consulates General of Belarus are located in the Chinese cities of Shanghai, Guangzhou and Chongqing. Another one will open in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region under an agreement between the countries that entered into force on December 29, 2021.
