In 2021 retail trade turnover in Belarus increased by 1.6%

Retail trade turnover in Belarus in 2021 amounted to BYN60 billion, it is 101.6% of the level of 2020 at comparable prices, BELTA writes.

In total, goods worth BYN130.1 billion were imported — this is 104.4% compared to the level of 2020.

The amount that consumers spend on groceries daily has also increased. In 2020, it was BYN15.6, and in 2021 year it rose to BYN17.6.

The turnover of organizations increased by 2.5%. Also, the turnover of public catering in 2021 increased to BYN3.2 billion or 114.4% of the level of 2020 at comparable prices.
