In 2021, 600 new organizations appeared in Gomel region

In 2021, 599 new commercial organizations were created in the Gomel region. And 3555 people are registered as individual entrepreneurs. The number of artisans increased by 23%, the number of entrepreneurs in the field of agroecotourism by 13%, BELTA writes.

In total, about 40 thousand small and medium-sized businesses operated in the Gomel region according to the results of last year. Of these, 30 thousand individual entrepreneurs and a little more than 9 thousand legal entities.

Over the year, small and medium-sized businesses exported goods worth $659 million. This is a quarter more than in 2020. It also covers more than 30% of the export of services of the entire region and 22.5% of the budget.
