In 2021 Belarusbank issued more than 3.4 thousand mortgage loans

Belarusbank has signed more than 3.4 thousand loan agreements worth more than BYN140 million for the purchase of residential premises since February 1, 2021, BELTA writes.

In Belarus, 7 out of 10 housing loans are issued in Belarusbank. The average loan size is about BYN42,000 because most often a loan is issued not for the entire cost of housing, but for the missing amount.

In 2021, in order to increase the availability of credit, the bank also allowed to include in the total income of the borrower the income of close relatives and family members. The loan is issued for a period of up to 20 years secured by housing and at 21% per annum.
