In 2021, investments in Minsk from abroad amounted to $5.3 billion

In 2021, investments in the real sector of the economy of Minsk from abroad amounted to $5.3 billion, the Minsk-News agency writes with reference to the Main Statistical Office of Minsk.

The main investors were companies from Russia (33.2% of all received investments). The inflow of foreign direct investment amounted to $4.9 billion US dollars, or 92% of all foreign investments.

During the year, Minsk companies sent investments abroad in the amount of $3.7 billion US dollars. Of these, 78.7% were received by companies in Russia. Ukraine received 6.2% of investments, Cyprus got about 3.7%. Direct investments accounted for 93.8% of all investments sent abroad.
