In 2021, Minsk saved energy worth of $20 million

By the end of 2021, the enterprises of Minsk saved energy resources in the amount of 96.72 thousand tons of conventional fuel worth of $20.2 million. In 2020, the savings amounted to $10.3 million, the Minsk-News agency writes.

The largest savings of 53% were obtained due to the introduction of modern energy-efficient technologies on factories. In addition, 14% of the total savings were obtained by optimizing the heat supply. Thanks to the introduction of automatic lighting control systems, it was possible to save 11% of the total energy.

The greatest savings in energy resources in Minsk were obtained by 11 large organizations, whose annual consumption is more than 25 thousand tons of conventional fuel. Also during the year, 95 km of heating networks were modernized in Minsk, 60 thousand square meters of windows were replaced, almost 214 thousand square meters of building walls were insulated.
