In 2021, Minsk spent BYN113 million on environmental protection

In 2021, Minsk organizations spent BYN113.6 million on environmental protection. This is 3.1% more than in 2020, the Minsk-News agency writes with reference to the Main Statistical Office of the city.

Here are the amounts that were spent:

• waste water collection and treatment — 45.8% (BYN52 million);
• works with wastes — 37.1% (BYN42.2 million);
• protection of atmospheric air, preservation of the ozone layer and climate — 13.8% (BYN15.7 million).

In 2021, the most money was spent on nature protection in the Partizansky district (BYN54.2 million or 47.7% of the total volume in the city), Leninsky district (BYN23.4 million or 20.6%) and Zavodsky district (BYN17.3 million or 15.2%). This distribution has been maintained for several years.
