In 2021, more than 31 tons of used batteries were collected in Minsk

In Minsk, 187.64 thousand tons of secondary material resources were collected in 2021, including polymer waste, glass, paper, cardboard, worn tires, the Minsk-News agency writes.

The largest increase compared to 2020 was recorded in the collection of polymer waste — 21%, as well as glass waste — 11.5%. Waste paper and cardboard collected 112.76 thousand tons, worn tires — 9.22 thousand tons, used car oils — 7.23 thousand tons, waste electronic and electrical equipment — 4.3 thousand tons.

In 2021, a number of facilities received funding, including a line for composting organic waste generated during the maintenance of landscaping facilities.
