In 4 months of 2023, Belarus' GDP decreased by 0.6%

According to the Ministry of Economy, in January-April 2023, GDP amounted to 99.4%. Despite the drop, the indicator is higher than at the end of the first quarter, Sputnik reported.

The Economy Minister said that Belarus' GDP is returning to growth. According to the minister, the monthly increase is 1.5%.

Earlier, the April macroeconomic review of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) stated that GDP could begin to grow compared to the same period of the previous year in the second quarter. The slowdown in the decline in GDP in the EDB was explained by the fact that growth in industry has recovered.

According to the data of 2023, 35 countries of the world invested in companies from Free Economic Zones of Belarus.
