In Belarus 29% of municipal solid wastes are used

In 2021, the usage level of solid municipal wastes in Belarus was 29%, BELTA writes.

Last year, 384.52 thousand tons of waste paper and cardboard were stocked up — this is 99% of the annual plan. Also, glass was stocked up in the amount of 99.9% of the plan, polymer wastes — in the amount of 105.2% of the plan, electrical wastes and electronic equipment — in the amount of 94.8% of the plan.

In 2021, 2.6% less paper was collected than in 2021. And 18% less of electrical wastes. This year, the plan for the volume of all wastes has been increased.

By 2025, the level of use of municipal solid wastes in the country should increase to 64%. And the volume of collection of secondary material resources — up to 970 thousand tons.
